AIR (wait with your booking until April 2021 when we will make the final decision of the OUI 2021 format depending of the Corona situation)

Aachen has four international airports in its periphery. Cologne (CGN) and Düsseldorf (DUS) airports are 80km/50 minutes from Aachen by (rental) car and have direct train connections (70-90 min). Frankfurt (FRA) is 95 min away by ICE high-speed train (Tip: With Lufthansa, you can book Aachen (XHJ) as your final destination to travel on one ticket for air & train with LH being responsible for any connection issues, see Lufthansa Express Rail ). Brussels Airport (BRU) is 70 min by car or 90 minutes by train from Aachen. Finally, if you come by private plane, Maastricht and Merzbrück are our local private aviation hubs.

RAIL

Aachen is well connected to the European high-speed train network: Aachen HBF is a stop on the Brussels – Frankfurt ICE line, a stop on the Paris – Brussels – Cologne Thalys line, and also connected to the UK via Brussels with the Eurostar (London-Aachen actually is an easy train ride). Local trains and buses connect Aachen via Cologne, Düsseldorf (DB Regio), and Heerlen (NL train network). Book your train tickets here.

Hotels recommended for the OUI are … (but wait with your booking until April 2021 when we will make the final decision of the OUI 2021 format depending of the Corona situation)

Parkhotel Quellenhof Aachen (the official conference hotel).

InnSide by Melia Aachen
Novotel Aachen (with an Ibis Budget next door)
Ibis Style Aachen
Best Western Royal Aachen

While all hotels before are all less than 500 m from the conference venue, the following hotels are also convenient:

Mercure Aachen Dom (but not the Mercure Europaplatz) and Aquis Grana (great location, but limited AC, however)
Hilton Hampton Inn Aachen (especially if you come by car)

But as Aachen is a compact city, also other hotels are never too far away. Aachen Tourist has many more smaller hotels and B&Bs. Also check AirBnB etc.
